Robert Gross, MD, PhD, is the MBNA Bowman Chair and Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery. He serves as director of the Translational Neuro-Engineering Laboratory, as well as co-founder and executive council member for the Emory Neuromodulation and Technology Innovation Center (ENTICe). Dr. Gross was recently awarded a nearly $5million grant from the National Institutes of Health in support of the Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative. The research will focus on improving the outcome of persons with medication-resistant mesial temporal lobe epilepsy.
