The Peer Partners Support Group matches former Emory Department of Neurosurgery patients with patients and caregivers dealing with a similar diagnosis.
What is Peer Partners?
The Department of Neurosurgery Peer Partners Program is designed to connect patients who have had a positive surgical experience with other patients who are facing a similar procedure.
Peer Partners offer confidential, one-on-one support based on previous neurosurgery experience. Our Peer Partners complete a training program and are coordinated through the Emory Department of Neurosurgery. The program provides:
- Caregivers and patients the opportunity to “match” with a Peer Partner
- Flexible locations and a schedule determined by the Peer Partner and patient.
- Communication between the Peer Partner and the patient by phone or in person.
