Dr. Wendy L. Wright graduated with a BS in Neuroscience from Texas Christian University in 1994 and received her MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1998. She began her post-graduate work with an Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland where she completed her Neurology Residency and was Chief Resident from 2001-2002. In 2002, Dr. Wright joined Johns Hopkins Hospital for her Neurocritical Care Fellowship, and was on faculty there from 2004 until just prior to her move to Emory in 2005.

Her hospital appointments include Clinical Instructor positions in the Departments of Anesthesiology, Neurology and Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and in the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital.

Dr. Wright is Board-certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology, and her academic interests include patient safety and physician advocacy.
